The story of Little Branch Cafe starts way before Mr & Mrs Martinez purchased the cafe in 2017 - it is a true story of hard work and the American dream paying off. When Mr Martinez first arrived in the United States at 16 from Mexico, he worked at Joe’s in the north side of Chicago, right in the kitchen -- putting hours into his craft, and working his way up the restaurant chain. Mrs Martinez also worked in the foodservice industry, starting at Lalo’s in Berwyn, Illinois - while also beginning their journey to become U.S residents. Both always had the humble foundation of working hard, treating their customers as their number one priority, and providing excellent and delicious food and drinks that you come to love at Little Branch Cafe.

When Mr & Mrs Martinez took over the existing Little Branch Cafe in 2017, they started focusing and innovating at what they knew best - expanding the current menu, fixing and improving the day to day operations in the cafe, and creating a customer experience that was top class in Chicago! This change and improvements didn’t come easy, but the Martinez family is deeply in gratitude to the South Loop community that stuck with them along the way to create the cafe we all appreciate and enjoy.

Fast forward to today, Little Branch Cafe operates as a family first run cafe, they’re proud to be newly issued U.S residents, and they’re especially proud of the cafe they have created that so many South Loop residents enjoy every day -- from their morning coffee, afternoon lunch, and even dining options.
